Wisconsin had three Umpires assigned to 2017 National and JO Cup tournaments.
OKLAHOMA CITY — USA Softball is proud to announce the selection of over 160 umpires who will get the chance to call at a 2017 USA Softball National Championship and the 2017 USA Softball Junior Olympic (JO) Cup. These umpires were nominated through their respective USA Softball Regional Umpire-in-Chief (UIC) based on their performance and history as a USA Softball umpire within their Local Associations and evaluations at previous USA Softball assignments. These at-large assignments are for the following National Championships: Men’s Major Fast Pitch, Men’s Super Slow Pitch, Men’s Class A, Class B and Class C Slow Pitch, Men’s Class D Slow Pitch Championship Series, Women’s Open Slow Pitch and the Men’s and Women’s Armed Forces Championship.
“Congratulations to those umpires selected to a 2017 USA Softball National Championship and the JO Cup,” said USA Softball Director of Umpires Kevin Ryan. “Teams know that when they play at USA Softball events that they will be playing with the most knowledgeable and trained umpires. USA Softball umpires take great pride in their knowledge of the rules and mechanics, and to receive an assignment at a USA Softball National Championship is a true testament to their skills and dedication to the USA Softball program.”
The three umpires that are representing Wisconsin are :
2017 16U GOLD - Keith Poirier from Stoughton, WI
2017 18U GOLD - Tim Joly from Seymour, WI
USA Softball JO Cup - Leslie Anderson from Germantown, WI
